Experienced Regional Sales Manager

Objective:

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading the company’s sales activities with a results-driven sales approach, managing and motivating the sales staff and acting as the liaison between field sales and corporate management.

Responsibilities:

  1. Works directly with company president to review previous week’s activities, set sales goals, monitor staffing, and determine current sales strategies, marketing support and incentives.
  2. Works closely with Marketing Manager to determine and develop new sales material, advertising, and targeted programs to increase traffic to each community and stimulate potential buyers.
  3. Skilled in recruiting, interviewing, and retaining quality sales professionals.
  4. Implement and maintain a high-level training program for all sales staff.
  5. Oversee 150 + semi custom home sales per year.
  6. Manages and oversees daily work-flow and targeted sales goals at all communities as well as two sales staff members per location.
  7. Monitors all daily traffic, sale starts, follow-up activities and closings.
  8. Tracks all activity and communications through the company-based CRM computer management program to ensure task accountability and follow pre-determined work-flow schedules.
  9. Visits each location weekly to ensure personal interaction and accountability with sales staff. Creates a positive work environment to ensure sales staff maintains momentum and focus.
  10. Maintains high-level working knowledge of our product line and community features including home pricing, square footage, approximate lot sizing per community, floor plan design details, standard amenities per product line, available design options,
  11. Visits the competition to stay aware of current market trends, sales strategies and competitors’ incentives, standard amenities and sales ratios.
  12. Develops relationships with Preferred Lenders to ensure quality customer service, professionalism, knowledge of market, and mortgage programs. Schedules Preferred Lenders at community locations to ensure complete coverage of all communities.
  13. Tracks and manage sales activities as needed with various departments involved in the sales process including but not limited to: IT, design selections, marketing, construction, warranty, purchasing and administration.

Qualifications:

A qualified candidate for the Regional Sales Manager position is characterized by the following criteria:

  1. Possesses a thorough understanding of the new home construction market and its processes within a production environment.
  2. Must have five years experience in the residential homebuilding industry and a minimum of five years proven success in managing, training, and motivating a sales team.
  3. Professional background as a new home sales representative with strong closing skills.
  4. Must be highly-motivated with exceptional organizational, communication and troubleshooting skills.
  5. Bringing a positive and flexible attitude to this position is essential.
  6. Has experience with developing, implementing and measuring sales incentive programs.
  7. Knowledge of CRM customer management software a plus.
